After I returned from Aussieland the natural course was to start looking for jobs which i did and found one successfully and pretty quickly as well. Got employed by Paladion networks as an Associate Consultant. The company is into Information Security and is a good place to work in. I was asked to come to Mumbai for Incduction that would last a month. Yeah Mumbai....
Well I have lived most of my life in Bangalore and for the past year and a half in Melbourne, both are relatively easy places to live in. So I asked a few people on what to expect from Mumbai, the responses were varied but mostly negative. I decided to come here with an open mind and see what mumbai has to offer me. Now its been a week into Mumbai and I certainly am not disappointed with what I see. Yesterday was my first day out into the city, I went to Chathrapathi Shivaji Terminus (formerly Victoria Terminus) from there I walked down to Gateway of India stopping for some lunch and when the rain got to heavy. From there I went on to Marine lines and Marine drive walking down to Chowpathy with many people going to witness the Ganesha immersions. It was a very interesting place full of color and festivities. Will post a few photographs later. What hit me about Mumbai was the resilience in the people and their no bull attitude. They just have a way of getting along with life. They walk as if they have the greatest purpose to life, anyway but when they smile they do it in the most whole hearted fashion that I have come across, brings a kind of happiness to witness it. This place has surely captivated my imagination now.
